On 01.+ 02. of March “BEINGs – a digital lifeforms exhibition” takes place @burggasse98 – a creative hotspot in Vienna Neubau, linking design, street and fine arts.
Three different approaches show human and digital lifeforms and their outputs in visual and performative ways:

In a secluded basement a network of digital organisms rebel against their fate. These so-called beings were left behind by their user. Within the absence of input they started to express themselves artistically, constantly aiming to breach the barrier between digital and physical reality. The network is eager to reconnect to the outside. Will they accept you as their new user or are they filled with resentment?

Light/Sound Object /// MAYFLY 2019 ///
The work MAYFLY is a light/sound object by Raphael Haider.
With reference to an electric insect killer, the installation as well as the lamps are arranged in the object.
The material is vibrating by transducers.
The Hazek – Werkschau in the Oxymoron Gallery shows parallels to the theme dealing with excess information.
